Salisbury
Blessed Virgin Mary
For centuries, Salisbury Cathedral has taken its place proudly as an iconic landmark in the South West. Built between 1310 and 1330, the Cathedral spire sits at a remarkable 123m above ground, weighs 6,500 tons and boasts a steep 332 steps to climb. Salisbury Cathedral is enveloped by the 80-acre Cathedral close, with beautiful rolling lawns and historic walls for visitors to enjoy. The Cathedral is also proud to be home to the best preserved of only four surviving original Magna Carta – the only copy on permanent display.
